PRP/ACP injections

PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma)

Injections with concentrated platelets from the patient's own blood. Contains growth factors that can support cartilage repair and reduce pain.

ACP (Autologous Conditioned Plasma)

An advanced form of PRP where the plasma is carefully prepared and injected into the joint under local anaesthetic. This can help reduce pain and improve function in mild to moderate osteoarthritis, particularly in the knee and shoulder.

How does ACP/PRP work?

Blood is drawn from your arm, the plasma is concentrated with growth factors and injected into the affected joint.
WorkingReduces inflammation, pain, and swelling; increases lubrication in the joint, making movement smoother.

Effect and treatment duration

  • Improvement often occurs 6–8 weeks after the first injection.
  • Usually, 2–3 injections are given with an interval of 6–8 weeks.
  • The effect lasts for an average of 6 months to a year; treatment can be repeated.

Costs and reimbursement

ACP/PRP injections are not currently covered by basic insurance, as our practice does not have a contract for this treatment.

Costs: €225 per injection, entirely at the patient's expense.

Consult an indication

Prior to treatment, a consultation will always take place to assess whether ACP injections are suitable.

Other supportive therapies, such as GLAD therapy or Kenacort injections, are combined where appropriate.

Medical applications prices

The Botox prices for your treatment are entirely dependent on the complaints you are experiencing. Our cosmetic doctors will gladly look at your problem with you and discuss the best solution. After the consultation, a personal treatment plan will be drawn up, and the costs of the medical Botox treatment will be final. If there is enough time, you can be treated immediately. Unfortunately, medical Botox is not reimbursed for use with sweating, teeth grinding, and migraines.
